The Pattaya Marathon is an annual event which attracts hundreds Thai and International entrants of all classes and ranges of experience.

The full marathon is held over a 41.295km course with half, quarter and student marathons also being held over shorter courses.

The marathon starts at 04.00 in the morning at Soi 4 on Beach Road and the route takes in Pattaya North Road, Sukhumvit Road to Banglamung, Sukhumvit Road to Soi Chayapruk, Soi Chayapruk, Jomtien Beach Road, Thapraya Road, Pattaya Second Road, Pattaya South Road, Pattaya Beach Road to Soi 4.

Jim has been training for the event and is confident that he will finish the course. He has already been promised sponsorship of more than 500,000 Baht. All sponsorship money that he raises is being given to Pattaya Gay Festival so they can then use it for their support of HEARTT 2000 and the ongoing treatment of people with HIV/AIDS.
